Which Is Which
KUALA LUMPUR WENESDAY: Deputy Prime Minister and Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Najib Razak has apologised to non-Malays over the racial remarks made by a Penang Umno division chief.
“We hope the non-Malays will not be too disturbed by the statement and we apologise if it caused unhappiness. “We apologise. Umno apologises. Although it is not our (the Umno leadership’s) statement but a statement made by one of our division leaders. NST 3Sept08
It is really amusing that it needs the DPM to make an apology on behalf of Datuk Ahmad rather than instructing him to do so. By not demanding him to personally apologise constitute to condoning the action taken by Datuk Ahmad. It is really unfortunate that a so-called leader of a so-called BN backbone party got the guts to make such a raciest remarks. This is really unbecoming of UMNO members. They refuse to recognise realities that they are now hading for doomsday. These kind of leaders are the one that are going to destroy the BN coalition. Have they not learned through the kris-wielding actions by the UMNO youth’s head?
The action by the DPM reminds me of an old malay saying ‘orang lain berak, lain orang yang cuci’. Well in this case it looks like Datuk Ahmad is the person that ‘berak’ and our DPM the ’tukang cuci’.

Which Is Which Again Please?
PUTRAJAYA, THURS: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today urged all non-Malays not to regard a recent remark by an Umno division chief which offended the Chinese community as reflective of Umno policy.
He said the remark by Bukit Bendera Umno Division chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail was a personal opinion which did not reflect the party’s stand at all.
Ahmad, at a “ceramah” (talk) in the run-up to the Permatang Pauh by-election on Aug 26, had said that the Chinese community were mere immigrants in the country and, thus, were not entitled to equal rights in Malaysia. NST 4Sept08
CONFUSED? YES…CRAZY? ALMOST! - JUST 1 DAY A CONTRADICTORY STATEMENT BY 2 TOP UMNO LEADERS. WHICH AND WHO TO BELIEVE? THE LEADERS ARE DRIVING THE RAKYAT CRAZY!
Meanwhile…..I don’t think that the majority of the Chinese in Malaysia will agree to the MCA President acceptance of the DPM’s apology. Funny right? Why the MCA President acted as lightning to accept the apology. Can’t he just for once stand-up to protect the Chinese rather than kowtow to UMNO forever? This is what I call a damn weak leader. No wonder they lost almost all their seats in the recent political tsunami. Yet the lesson of such disaster was taken lightly. A simple Anakdesa advise to these MCA leaders – Don’t just please your master (UMNO) and forsake your people’s integrity!
